Integrazione WPForms Airtable: Invia le voci di WPForms ad Airtable gratuitamente

You can create a Integrazione WPForms Airtable in a few different ways.
The native Airtable integration is available on the WPForms Elite plan. Cloud automation platforms like Zapier, Make, or n8n are available from Pro upward.
Another option is a WordPress integration plugin such as Bit Integrations, where each WPForms submission acts as a trigger, and the submitted data is sent to Airtable for free.
Both the native integration and integration plugins create a new Airtable record per submission.
With Bit Integrations, the WPForms trigger and Airtable action are available in the versione gratuita, so the workflow can be set up without additional automation platform costs.
This guide covers the setup step by step, then briefly explains the other methods.
In sintesi
WPForms can send form entries to Airtable through the native Airtable add-on, a cloud automation platform, or a WordPress integration plugin. The integration plugin route is the only one that works on WPForms Lite, and setup takes about ten minutes.
- Native Airtable add-on: requires the WPForms Elite plan. Setup happens inside the form builder.
- Zapier, Make, or n8n: available from WPForms Pro upward. Best suited to workflows that need branching, delays, or several apps in sequence.
- WordPress integration plugin: works on any WPForms version, including Lite. In Bit Integrations, the WPForms trigger and Airtable action are both in the free version.
- What you need: an existing Airtable base and table, plus a personal access token with read and write access to records and schema.
- Setup path: select WPForms as the trigger, choose your form, select Airtable as the action, authorize with the token, then pick a base and table and map the fields.
- Risultato: each form submission creates a new Airtable record. Conditional logic controls which submissions get sent.
What you need before you start
Setup takes about ten minutes if you have these ready.
- A WordPress site with WPForms installed and at least one published form. Any version works, Lite included.
- An Airtable account with a base and table already created. This one catches people out. The plugin can only list bases that already exist, so build the base in Airtable first if your account is empty.
- An Airtable personal access token with read and write access to both records and schema.
- Airtable columns that line up with your form fields. The names do not have to match, but the field types need to be compatible.
How to create a WPForms Airtable integration with Bit Integrations
Here is the whole setup, start to finish. Each step has a screenshot so you can check your screen against the one below it.
Step 1. Install and activate the plugin.
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins, then Add New, and search for Bit Integrations. Install it, then click Activate. WPForms is one of the triggers available in the free version, so you do not need a paid license to follow along.

Step 2. Click Create Integration.
Open Bit Integrations from your WordPress menu and click the Crea integrazione button. This starts the two-part setup: first the trigger, then the action.

Step 3. Search for WPForms and select it as your trigger
You will land on the trigger selection screen. Type WPForms into the search box and click the WPForms card. The trigger is what sets the automation off, so this tells the plugin to watch for form submissions.

Step 4. Choose the form you want to connect
Pick the form whose entries should reach Airtable from the dropdown, then click Next. If you run several forms, create a separate integration for each one rather than trying to cover them all at once.

Step 5. Search for Airtable and select it as your action.
Now you are on the action screen. Search for Airtable and click it. The action is the destination, which is where your form data ends up.

Step 6. Add your connection and authorize with a bearer token
Give the integration a name you will recognise later. Click Add new connection, and leave the connection name at its default if you like. Paste your Airtable token into the Bearer Token field and click Authorize.
Note on naming: Airtable calls this a personal access token. The plugin field is labelled Bearer Token. They are the same thing.
To create the token:
- In Airtable, open Builder Hub from your profile menu.
- Vai al Personal Access Tokens scheda e clic Create Token.
- Add these four scopes:
data.records:read,data.records:write,schema.bases:read,schema.bases:write. - Sotto Access, select the base or workspace you want the token to reach.
- Copy the token before closing the tab. Airtable displays it only once.
Il Airtable action documentation covers this in more detail.
Once authorization succeeds, the Next button appears. Click it.

Step 7. Pick your base and table, then map the fields.
Scegli il tuo Airtable base from the first dropdown e il tuo table from the second. If either list comes up empty, click the refresh icon beside it.
Then map the fields. WPForms fields sit on the left, Airtable fields on the right. Pair them up and use the plus icon to add more rows.
In the example below, First Name, Last Name, Email, and Comment or Message from a contact form are mapped to matching columns in an Airtable table.
If you only want some submissions going to Airtable, switch on Logica condizionale and build a rule, such as sending an entry only when a dropdown matches a certain value. Leave it off and every submission goes through.
Click Next to save and finish the integration.

Step 8. Send a test submission.
Do not skip this. Fill in your form on the front end and submit it.

Open your Airtable table. The entry should appear as a new record, with each mapped field in its matching column.

Then check the integration log in the plugin. Each run is listed with a status, a record type, and the API response. A working integration shows Success and Record created; you can find the trigger input details from here. If a run fails, the response tells you why, and the Re-execute button sends it again once you have fixed the cause.

When the native Airtable add-on is the better fit
The native add-on requires the WPForms Elite plan and WPForms. If you are already on Elite, it is worth considering ahead of anything else.
It fits best when:
- You are on Elite already, so the add-on costs nothing extra.
- You want one vendor supporting both ends of the connection, which simplifies things when something breaks.
- You prefer the setup to live inside the form builder rather than in a separate plugin interface.
- You manage several sites under one Elite licence and want the same setup repeated across them.
Setup runs through WPForms, then Settings, then Integrations, where you connect Airtable and grant access to all your bases or only selected ones.
You then add a connection inside the form builder under Settings, then Airtable, choose a base and table, and map your fields. The official WPForms Airtable addon documentation has the full walkthrough.
Like the integration plugin route, it creates a new record per submission rather than updating an existing one.
When Zapier, Make, and n8n are the better fit
Cloud automation platforms are built for workflows that need branching, delays, lookups against another system, or several apps chained in sequence. A single handoff from a form to a database does not call for that.
They also come with a plan requirement of their own. The WPForms connections to Zapier, Make, and n8n start at Pro, so routing through them does not sidestep an upgrade.
They also come with a plan requirement of their own. The WPForms connections to Zapier, Make, and n8n start at Pro, so routing through them does not sidestep an upgrade. Our guide to WPForms spreadsheet integration covers how each plan tier compares.
Choosing between the three methods
| La tua situazione | Route that fits |
|---|---|
| You already have WPForms Elite and want one vendor across the whole path. | Native Airtable add-on |
| You are on Lite, Basic, Plus, or Pro and Airtable is the only missing piece. | WordPress integration plugin |
| Your workflow needs branching, delays, or several apps in sequence. | Cloud automation platform |
Fixing common WPForms to Airtable errors
| What you see | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Base or table dropdown is empty | No base exists in the account yet, the token is missing schema.bases:read, or the base sits outside the token access scope. Click refresh, then check the token in Airtable. |
| Records are not appearing in Airtable | Open the integration timeline and read the error. It normally names the field or permission causing the failure. Failed runs can be re-run from there. |
| A form field is missing from the mapping dropdown | The field types do not match. An Airtable single-select column needs a dropdown, checkbox, or multiple choice field on the form side. |
| Authorization stopped working | Personal access tokens can be revoked or scoped to specific bases in Airtable. Check the token there before assuming a plugin fault. |
| Submissions feel slower than before | The integration runs on the same request as the submission, so a slow Airtable response is felt at submit time. On a high-traffic form, keep the field mapping lean. |
Concludendo
Once WPForms is set as a trigger, the same submission can feed more than one destination, so Airtable does not have to be the end of it.

Domande frequenti
Can WPForms Lite send data to Airtable?
Not by itself. The native Airtable addon is an Elite feature, and Lite includes no database addons. A WordPress integration plugin can still do it, because it reads the form submission through WordPress rather than relying on an addon tied to your WPForms plan.
Which WPForms plan includes the Airtable addon?
The Elite plan. Airtable is not part of Basic, Plus, or Pro. The addon also needs WPForms 1.9.8.2 or newer, so check your plugin version as well as your licence tier before setting it up.
Do I need Zapier to connect WPForms to Airtable?
No. A one-step transfer from a form to an Airtable table does not need a cloud automation platform. Zapier, Make, and n8n make sense when a workflow needs branching, delays, lookups, or several applications chained together.
Does the integration update existing Airtable records or only create new ones?
Both the connector route and the native WPForms add-on create a new record for each submission. Neither documents updating an existing record. If updating records is a firm requirement, confirm the behaviour with the vendor before you commit.
How do I get an Airtable personal access token, and what scopes does it need?
Create it in Airtable under Builder Hub, in the Personal Access Tokens tab. It needs read and write access to records and to base schema, plus access to the specific base or workspace you are using. Copy it straight away, since Airtable displays it only once.
Can one WPForms submission go to Airtable and somewhere else at the same time?
Yes. The same form can act as the trigger for more than one integration, so a single submission can create an Airtable record and also reach a CRM, an email tool, or a spreadsheet.
Why is my Airtable base dropdown empty?
Most often, there are no bases in that Airtable account yet, since only existing bases can be listed. It can also mean the token lacks schema read access, or the base falls outside the token access scope. Try the refresh icon first.
