IvyForms Integration as an Action

Bit Integrations lets you connect IvyForms with your favorite WordPress plugins, so whenever something happens on your site, a new entry gets created automatically in your IvyForms form without any manual work.

Whether your trigger is a WooCommerce order, a membership registration, or another form submission, Bit Integrations will push that data straight into IvyForms for you. Bit Integrations currently supports the “Create Entry” action events for IvyForms:

This guide walks you through the complete setup process step by step.

How to set up IvyForms Integration as an action in Bit Integrations

Before You Begin

Make sure all of the following are in place before you start:

  • The Bit Integrations plugin is installed and active on your WordPress site.
  • The IvyForms plugin is installed and active on your WordPress site.
  • You have at least one form already created in IvyForms.
  • You have a trigger plugin ready to connect, for example, a form builder, WooCommerce, or an LMS plugin.

Step 1: Search for and Select IvyForms as an Action

Go to your Bit Integrations dashboard and click Create Integration. Bit Integrations will first ask you to choose a trigger plugin.

Select whichever plugin you want to use as your trigger, for example, a form builder like Gravity Forms, an eCommerce plugin like WooCommerce, or an LMS plugin like LearnDash.

Complete the trigger setup, and Bit Integrations will bring you to the “Please select an Action” page.

On the action page, type “IvyForms” into the search bar. The IvyForms icon will appear in the results. Click on it to select it as your action.

Step 2: Connect to IvyForms

After selecting IvyForms, you will land on the Integration Settings page. You will see two things here:

  • Integration Name: A default name, “IvyForms,” is already filled in. You can keep it or rename it to something more descriptive, like “WooCommerce to IvyForms.”
  • Connect to IvyForms button: Click this button. Bit Integrations will automatically connect to IvyForms and fetch all your existing forms. No API key or manual credentials are needed since both plugins are running on the same WordPress site.

Once connected, click the Next button to continue.

Step 3: Select an Action Event and Choose a Form

On the next screen, you will see two dropdowns to configure:

  • Action dropdown: Click on it and select “Create Entry.” This is currently the only available action event for IvyForms, and it tells Bit Integrations to create a new form entry in IvyForms every time your trigger fires.
  • Select Form dropdown: Click on it, and all the forms you have created in IvyForms will appear in the list. Select the form where you want the entries to be created. For example, select “Contact form” if you want data to go into your contact form.

Once both are selected, click the Next button to continue.

Tip:  If you recently created a new IvyForms form and it is not showing up in the dropdown, click the refresh icon next to the Select Form dropdown to reload the list.

Step 4: Map the Fields and Add Conditional Logic

This is where you connect the data from your trigger to the fields inside your selected IvyForms form. You will see two columns on the screen:

  • Trigger Fields (left column): These are the data fields coming from your trigger plugin, for example: Name, Email, Phone, Message, and so on.
  • IvyForms Fields (right column): These are the fields inside your selected IvyForms form. Match each trigger field to its corresponding IvyForms field. For example, map the “Email” field from your trigger to the “Email” field in IvyForms.

You can click the “+” button to add more field mappings, or the trash icon to remove any mapping you do not need.

Conditional Logic

If you need more control over when this integration should run, you can also add Conditional Logic. This lets you set rules so the action only fires when specific conditions are met. For example, you can configure it to only create an IvyForms entry when the submitted country is “United States” or when an order total is above a certain amount.

Once you are happy with the field mappings and conditions, click the Next button to save and finish your integration. The integration is now live and will run automatically every time your trigger fires.

Explore some useful use cases of IvyForms Integrations as an action with popular triggers

Here are four practical ways you can use the IvyForms integration with Bit Integrations:

  • WooCommerce Order to IvyForms Entry: Every time a customer completes a WooCommerce order, automatically create an entry in an IvyForms order tracking form. This keeps all your order details organized inside IvyForms without any copy-pasting.
  • Contact Form Submission to IvyForms Entry: When a visitor submits a contact form on your site using any form builder plugin, automatically push that data into a dedicated IvyForms form. This is useful when your team reviews and manages all incoming inquiries from a single IvyForms dashboard.
  • WP User Registration to IvyForms Entry: Whenever a new user registers on your WordPress site, automatically create an IvyForms entry with their registration details. This is great for building a structured, searchable database of your registered users directly inside IvyForms.
  • LearnDash Course Enrollment to IvyForms Entry: When a student enrolls in a course on LearnDash, automatically send their enrollment data to an IvyForms form. This helps you track student signups and course interest in a clean, organized format without switching between tools.
