Before setting up the integration, make sure the following requirements are met:

  • Bit Social is installed and activated on your WordPress site.
  • Your social account (for example, LinkedIn) is properly connected inside Bit Social.
  • At least one post has been successfully published using Bit Social. This is required to fetch sample trigger data.

If the social account is not connected, or if publishing fails due to an API or authorization issue, the trigger will not fire.

Check out this guide to set up a seamless connection between Bit Social and your social media accounts.

Setup Bit Social Integrations – Step by Step Guide

First, open your Bit Integrations dashboard and click the Create Integration button to start your Bit Social automation with Bit Integrations.

Next, select Bit Social as the trigger application. You will then see a list of available trigger events. Choose the event that should start the automation.

For example, select LinkedIn Post Published. This trigger will run only after Bit Social successfully publishes a post to LinkedIn.

After selecting the trigger event, click the Fetch button. Then publish a post to LinkedIn using Bit Social.

Once the post is successfully published, return to Bit Integrations and fetch the trigger data. This will pull sample data from the most recent successful publish event.

When the trigger data is successfully fetched, click the Set Action button to choose what should happen next.

In this example, we will send the published LinkedIn post data to Google Sheets. After clicking Set Action, search and select Google Sheets as your action application.

You will be redirected to the authorization page. Enter your Google Client ID and Client Secret, then click Authorize. If you are unsure how to obtain these credentials, follow the linked authorization guide. After successful authorization, click Next to continue.

Now select your preferred Spreadsheet, Worksheet, and Header Row. Map the Bit Social trigger fields (such as post title, post link, publish time, etc.) to the corresponding Google Sheets columns.

After completing the field mapping, click Next, then click Finish & Save to activate the integration.

Congratulations! Your integration is now active. Whenever a post is successfully published to LinkedIn using Bit Social, the automation will run automatically. The selected post data will be added to your connected Google Sheet without any manual action.
