IvyForms Integration as a Trigger

IvyForms can be connected to Bit Integrations as a trigger, allowing you to automatically send submitted form data to any of your connected external platforms. Currently, Bit Integrations supports the Form Submission trigger event for IvyForms, meaning a workflow runs every time someone submits a form created with IvyForms.

How to set up IvyForms Integration as a trigger

Step 1: Create a New Integration

From the Bit Integrations dashboard, click Create Integration to start a new workflow.

Step 2: Select IvyForms as a Trigger

On the “Please select a Trigger screen”, search for IvyForms in the search bar and select it from the results.

Step 3: Choose the Form Submission Event

Open the Select a Form/Task Name dropdown and choose Form Submission. This is the supported trigger event for IvyForms.

Step 4: Click the Fetch Button

Click the Fetch button to start listening for a test form submission.

Step 5: Submit a Test Entry

Once you click Fetch, the button changes to Waiting for form submission… and starts a 3-minute countdown. While the timer is running, go to your IvyForms form on the front end and submit a test entry.

Step 6: Review the Captured Data and Set a Unique Key

After the test entry is submitted successfully, Bit Integrations automatically captures all of the submitted form fields and assigns a default unique key.

You can customize this by selecting:

  • Your form ID is the unique key, or
  • Multiple fields combined as the unique key.

The unique key is used to identify each submission distinctly when the data is sent to your connected platform.

Step 7: Set Up Your Action

Once the trigger is configured, click Set Action to choose the external platform you want to send the IvyForms submission data to, and map the captured fields accordingly.

Your IvyForms trigger is now ready, and every new form submission will automatically run through this integration.

Explore some popular use cases of IvyForms integration

  1. IvyForms to Google Sheets integration: Every form submission is automatically logged as a new row in a spreadsheet, giving teams a real-time, easy-to-share record of all entries (great for surveys, RSVPs, or order forms).
  2. IvyForms HubSpot integration: New form submissions are pushed into HubSpot as contacts or leads, with form fields mapped to CRM properties, handy for lead-gen and contact forms feeding directly into sales pipelines.
  3. IvyForms to Slack: A message is posted to a chosen Slack channel the moment someone submits a form, so support or sales teams get instant notifications instead of checking email or a dashboard.
  4. IvyForms to Mailchimp integration: Submitted email addresses (and other fields like name or interests) are added straight to a Mailchimp audience/list, automating newsletter or marketing list growth.
  5. IvyForms Google Calendar integration: For booking or appointment-style forms, submissions can create calendar events automatically, pulling in fields like name, date, and time.
